The new Continental GT is in the starting blocks

New fourth-generation Continental GT to be released in June

The first Bentley with the new "Ultra Performance Hybrid" drivetrain

With a power output of 782 PS and 1,000 Nm of torque - combined with an all-electric range of 80 km and a CO2 (WLPT) of less than 50 g/km - the new Continental GT marks an important milestone for Bentley. Not only will it be the most powerful and dynamic road car in Bentley's 105-year history, it will also be the most sustainable - without compromising on the handcrafted luxury and exceptional materials that characterise Bentley's cars

Revised design and the latest technologies

This new addition to the Bentley portfolio offers the latest chassis technologies, including active all-wheel drive with torque vectoring, all-wheel steering, electronic limited slip differential, 48-volt active roll stabilisation and new advanced twin-valve shock absorbers.

Perfect embodiment of a modern Bentley

A revised design and the latest technologies give the latest generation of this car the finishing touches and make this vehicle the perfect embodiment of a modern Bentley.
The Continental GT made its debut in 2002, ushering in a new Bentley era. The car was to revolutionise the business, increase sales tenfold and redefine Bentley in the context of the modern age. The design inspiration and performance model for the Continental GT was the R Type Continental from 1952 - the fastest four-seater in the world at the time, which established the concept of a luxurious grand tourer. It was a long-distance cruiser for crossing the entire continent - which is how it got its name. The Continental GT adopted the three most important lines of the original design: the "powerline", the flanks and the sloping roofline. The effect of the Continental GT was dramatic - within four years, Bentley's annual sales climbed from around 1,000 to over 10,000 vehicles. A second-generation Continental GT was unveiled in Paris in 2010 - orders were taken from October of that year and deliveries began in early 2011. The second generation was launched with a W12 engine, but this was supplemented by a new 4.0-litre V8 variant in 2012. The third generation followed in 2018, based on a new, specially developed platform. The Continental GT received a new engine, a new chassis, a new electrical architecture, new technologies and a new interior and exterior design. The vehicle thus set unrivalled standards for the now highly competitive luxury GT sector. Over the past 20 years, Continental GTs have broken speed records and won championships and endurance races around the world. Globally, the Continental GT is the second most popular Bentley model (after the Bentayga) - one in three Bentleys sold is a Continental GT. At the beginning of next year, the 100,000th example of this now legendary grand tourer will be hand-built at the Bentley Dream Factory in Crewe, England.
