The seat's automatic climate technology recognises the sitter's body temperature and the surface humidity. Based on this, it determines whether the heating, ventilation or both systems should be activated simultaneously to ensure an optimum temperature sensation. The seat posture optimisation system automatically makes minute changes to the seat position and pressure points by monitoring the pressure applied to the entire seat surface. The system can implement 177 individual pressure changes across six completely independent pressure zones, each over a period of three hours. This improves comfort and minimises fatigue during the ride.
Adrian Hallmark, Chairman and Chief Executive of Bentley Motors, commented:
"The Bentayga Extended Wheelbase is our first vehicle designed entirely with the passenger's well-being in mind. No matter which Bentley you drive, you will always get out more relaxed than when you got in. But with the Extended Wheelbase, we've gone one step further, thanks to revolutionary wellness technologies integrated into our unrivalled interior design. Combined with the craftsmanship of the experts at our carbon-neutral factory in Crewe, these advanced features make the Bentayga Extended Wheelbase the ultimate luxury SUV for driver and passengers."
The Bentayga EWB is designed with a particularly sophisticated quilting pattern created using digital technologies. A symmetrical diamond pattern runs from the centre of the seat shoulders at the back of the seat and along the entire length of the doors, emphasising the extended length of the vehicle.
The new interior design of the rear doors also includes unique design options such as the optional metallic overlay of the wood veneer. Using a wafer-thin metal strip just 0.07 mm thick, a sophisticated design is bonded to the surface of the veneer by hand before the section is painted and polished.
New features such as Bentley Diamond illumination (where light shines through the fine perforations in the soft door panels) demonstrate how technology combines with modern craftsmanship to create a contemporary design with luxurious materials. With 24 billion possible trim combinations (and a total number of possible specifications running into the trillions), the rear of the Bentayga Extended Wheelbase offers more customisation options than any other Bentayga before it.
The introduction of electronic all-wheel steering - a first for the Bentayga - ensures that, despite the long wheelbase, none of the dynamic handling is lost. The turning circle has even been reduced by 7 % to 11.8 metres compared to the standard Bentayga. This also ensures that superior handling at high speeds and maximum comfort at low speeds are no longer opposites.
Compliance with legal regulations, internal rules, the principles of our Code of Conduct and the Code of Conduct for Business Partners is a top priority at Porsche Holding Salzburg. The success of our company is based on integrity and compliance. In order to live up to this claim, it is important to learn of possible misconduct by our own employees or those of our suppliers and to prevent it. We have therefore commissioned the Central Investigation Office to operate an independent, impartial and confidential whistleblower system for us.
An important pillar of our whistleblower system is the principle of fair proceedings. It guarantees the greatest possible protection for whistleblowers, those affected and employees who are involved in investigating the reported misconduct.
This also includes offering opportunities for anonymous reporting and communication. We ensure that we do not take any measures to identify anonymous whistleblowers who do not abuse our whistleblowing system. Discrimination against whistleblowers and all persons who contribute to investigations at Porsche Holding Salzburg will not be tolerated. Those affected are presumed innocent until the offence is proven. Investigations are conducted with the utmost confidentiality. The information is processed in a fair, fast and protected procedure.
Qualified and experienced employees of the Central Investigation Office thoroughly check all reports of potential serious breaches of regulations by employees of the Volkswagen Group and systematically investigate them. Firstly, you will receive a confirmation of receipt. The Investigation Office will then assess your report. This includes obtaining information from the whistleblower in particular. Only if this leads to an initial suspicion of a potential serious breach of regulations will a suitable investigation unit be commissioned to investigate the case. Once the investigation has been completed, the Investigation Office evaluates the results and, if misconduct is found, makes an appropriate sanction recommendation. You will be informed immediately about the processing status* of your report and the outcome of any investigation.
Potential violations of the Code of Conduct for Business Partners, including serious risks and human rights and environmental violations by direct and indirect suppliers, can also be reported to the Central Enlightenment Office. This also applies to other reports that require immediate action by the company. The Investigation Office informs the responsible departments, which process the matter accordingly. This includes, in particular, measures required to minimise or end violations and/or risks.
Further information on the rules of procedure for the Volkswagen Group's complaints mechanism can be found at here.
* The processing time may vary and depends, among other things, on the subject of the notice.
The whistleblower system offers various channels for reporting potential misconduct by employees or violations of the Code of Conduct for business partners in our supply chain that require a rapid review and - if necessary - a response from our company.
