The new Lamborghini Revuelto

First super sports car with V12 hybrid HPEV.

The new reference for super sports cars.

In the year of its 60th anniversary, Automobili Lamborghini presents the completely newly developed Revuelto[1]. It is the first super sports car with a V12 plug-in hybrid drive, a true High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV). The Revuelto completely redefines the concepts of performance, sportiness and driving pleasure, making it the ideal successor to the legendary Aventador. This is because it utilises unprecedented architecture, advanced design, highly efficient aerodynamics and an ultra-light carbon body. The combination of a completely newly developed V12 combustion engine with three electric motors enables a maximum output of 1015 CV / 746 kW. For the first time, Lamborghini is also combining a twelve-cylinder engine with a dual-clutch gearbox in the Revuelto.

The drivetrain combines truly high-performance components: The new combustion engine has a specific power output of 127 CV per litre and interacts with both the front axial flux engines with an outstanding power-to-weight ratio and the radial flux engine on the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission - the first of its kind in a twelve-cylinder Lamborghini.

DNA from Lamborghini

A high-performance lithium-ion battery with a specific energy density of 4500 W/kg powers the three electric motors; the battery also supplies the power for the purely electric driving modes. "The new Revuelto is a milestone in Lamborghini's history and an important pillar of our Direzione Cor Tauri electrification strategy," explains Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.

Carbon fibres are the most important structural component in this new super sports car. They are processed at the plant in Sant'Agata Bolognese according to the highest standards of craftsmanship. They are used in the monofuselage and the frame as well as most parts of the bodywork. Thanks to its powerful drive system and the extensive use of carbon fibre and other lightweight materials, the Revuelto achieves the best power-to-weight ratio in Lamborghini's history: 1.75 kg/CV.

Because the new Revuelto combines all of these characteristics, its performance figures put it at the top of its segment: it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and its top speed is over 350 km/h. These technical data are combined with exceptional dynamic measures - electronic torque vectoring, an all-wheel drive system that is also possible in all-electric mode - and ensure that the super sports car can demonstrate its talents both on the circuit and on the road.

"With the Revuelto, we are taking the Lamborghini driving experience to a new, outstanding level," promises Rouven Mohr, Chief Technical Officer of Automobili Lamborghini. "The Revuelto takes a significant step forward compared to its predecessor, especially in terms of feedback and response behaviour, and always offers an absolutely authentic and emotional driving experience. The development goal from the outset was to maximise both performance and driving pleasure."
